Alberta Government Hong Kong Office is pleased to announce today that Eleven Engineering Inc. of Edmonton has been successfully selected and qualified to enter the engagement of the final stage of The Alberta International Business Partnering Program (The Program). Eleven Engineering, a global leader in digital wireless audio semiconductors, today supplies components and solutions to LG, Bose, JBL and many other first-tier consumer electronics companies.

 

The Office today provides the company with an in-market presence, i.e. to soft land the company into the Alberta International Business Development Office at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. The soft-landing will help the company solidify its business relationships and further strengthen its in-market operations in the Greater China region.

 

The Program is a joint initiative between Government of Alberta’s Ministries of International & Intergovernmental Relations, Advanced Education & Technology and the Government of Canada’s Department of Western Economic Diversification. It aims to assist Alberta companies entering new international markets, which aligns with the Alberta Government’s priority to diversify its economy, support the growth of knowledge based industries and enhance global competitiveness.

 

Alberta companies enrolled in The Program are required to successfully achieve three progressive stages, i.e. Market Exploration, Market Engagement, and Market Penetration. Upon entering the final stage, the company will be provided with the opportunity to establish an in-market presence on a short term basis, in a technology incubator environment designed to grow and nurture innovative enterprises and to pursue opportunities developed during The Program.

 

The Program has been developed to provide qualified Alberta based businesses in the ICT and Life Sciences sectors with a cost effective and efficient means to target new international markets in order to successfully export their products and services, build technology partnership opportunities and/or commercialize new technology. Currently, The Program is being operated in three target markets: China, California and India.

 

 

 

 

Alberta Government Hong Kong Office is tasked to work with Alberta companies interested in exploring business opportunities in the Greater China region. The Office provides the companies in the second stage with the opportunities to work with an in-market consultancy team in Hong Kong to identify and pursue specific business goal.
